We were in the hospital. Seth was rushed into the emergency treatment. I had learned that a neighbor saw Marcus enter my home and called the police. I sat impatiently in the waiting room. I began to pace. It was two hours before a doctor came out. I ran up to him. "How is Seth?"
The doctor gave me a sad look. "The bullet may have missed his heart, but it tore open some major arteries." He took a pause. Preparing me, and himself, for the truth. "He's most likely to not make it through the night. Please, follow me to his room and say your final good byes."
We walked in silence. I was lost at the thought of Seth leaving me forever. The thought made me almost trip going up the stairs. The doctor opened the door and left us alone. I closed the door behind me and saw Seth was looking at me with a weak smile. "Hey Maria." He forced out with his weak voice. I forced a smile and walked over to him.
I sat next to Seth on his bed. Holding back tears so Seth can see my smiling face. I grabbed his hand and held it tightly. I looked into those deep, ocean blue eyes. He squeezed my hand showing that he wanted to talk.
"Maria, I have to tell you something." Seth quietly said. "Can you come closer?" I moved so our faces almost touched. He lifted his head enough to kiss me. I held onto that kiss like my life depended on it to survive. We had to part. Seth took a deep breath.
"Thank you for saving me and staying with me. You could have left me on that road in the rain or gave me over to those cops. But you chose to show me mercy." He had to pause. "Without you, my life would have just been a waste of space." Seth began to cough and the color began to fade from his eyes. I tried my hardest to just keep smiling. "Maria... Don't ever forget, no matter how far we are, I..." Seth's voice grew quieter. "I...Love...You..."
There was no longer any color in his eyes. His hand grew limp in mine. I could no longer hold in my pain. I screamed. His heart machine was a contentiousness beep. "Seth! Please! Please don't leave me alone! I need you!"I said through sobs and screams. The doctors and nurses rushed in. They had to pry me away from Seth. I no longer had any control over my emotions or actions. Finally, one doctor gave me a shot. Everything went black.
I awoke in that cursed place I call home. I sat up in mine and Seth's bed. I could still smell Seth in the place he layed just last night. Thinking of how just this morning Sophia was still alive, Seth and I were enjoying Seth's cooking, laughing about the stupid jokes that Seth always made.... It made me scream. I layed on that bed with Seth's cloths for an eternity. Wishing that this was just a dream...but I knew this was as real as me heart beat. That's when I knew what I had to do.

This is our story. The story of a boy with a horrid past and the girl who changed his life. This is the story of our hardships, our happiness, and our love. I lost everything all in one day. My one and only friend, the love of my life, my will, my hope, my very being. If you are reading this, I am already dead. The pills I took will have taken effect by now and I can already see Seth. He's there. Waiting for me to join him, to join Sophia, and to join my family.

This is a story about two people saving each other.
Well this has been a long and very emotion three years. This is finally done. Hope everyone liked the journey that Maria and Seth went on. If you didn't, oh well. I know I sure enjoyed it :) Thanks to everyone who's been sticking around with me for these three years.
